Ananse and the Wisdom of the Earth: Folk Stories for all the family
These stories take their departure from one of the classical Ananse stories, which originated in Ghana, concerning the gathering and then the spreading of common sense or wisdom. These stories travelled to the Caribbean and Americas with the people who were enslaved and trafficked during the Maafa, a time of great loss and grief for both the people and the Earth which were involved in this sad separation.

Participants will be encouraged to creatively respond to what they notice through different prompts, writing, drawing or creating art from found materials. At the end of the walk they will be invited to co-create one large community response.
