Meet the festival’s contributors
Cobey Smith
Cobey is a second year Anthropology and Media student, studying at Goldsmiths University. He is in charge of processing event information and organising webinars, as well as photographing and filming some of the events throughout UTF 2024.
Rhodri Regan
Rhodri is a second-year Promotional Media: PR, Advertising and Branding student and a qualified fitness instructor. He volunteered for UTF ‘24, co-writing and editing the daily newsletter, writing blogs and doing some photography work.
Krisha Valia
Krisha is a second year journalism student with a passion for writing and reading. She is in charge of co-writing the Urban Tree Festival newsletters and press releases for UTF 2024
Frances Goh
Frances is a BA Promotional Media Student in her penultimate year at Goldsmiths, University of London. She is a creative who volunteered with the ticketing and operations management of UTF 2024.
Festival Director 2024
Sara Hayes is the Festival Director for UTF 2024, overseeing the management and bringing the events and heritgage of trees to life.
Thomas Scott
Thomas is a second-year Media & Communications student at Goldsmiths, University of London. He took charge of website management for the Urban Tree Festival 2024.

Canopy Authors
These writers are the winners from two competitions run by the Museum of Walking and Sampson Low Publishers whose works have been published in two illustrated anthologies: “Canopy” and “Autumn Colours”. The competition required writers to compose poems or stories of 250 words and under. This contributor list features writers from ‘Canopy’.

Rachele has worked in communications for Amnesty International and PEP the Hague before moving to Edinburgh to pursue her masters at Edinburgh Napier University,
Ross Findlay
Ross is a soon-to-be graduate of the Edinburgh Napier Festival and Events Management programme and works as a freelance event coordinator.
Erica Cham
Erica currently works as the Entertainment and Events admin in the Edinburgh University Students’ Association, and is responsible for implementing events that attract a diverse international audience.
Alana Cook
Alana is a current postgraduate student at Edinburgh Napier University studying International Festival and Event Management.
