Hosted by the Woodland Trust featuring Beth Collier (Wild In the City), Katy Hawkin (Birmingham Tree People) and Dr Mark Johnston (independent scholar and urban tree expert). The talk will examine different perspectives on 'tree equity' in the UK - including history, race and ethnicity and community action.

Understanding Tree Equity as an Environmental Justice issue. Beth is the founder of Wild In The City where she leads on strategy, programmes, research and policy. Beth has a background in research and policy, managing programmes and consultancies in the fields of psychological health and human rights
Katy Hawkins
Action for tree equity in Birmingham. Katy is Engagement Officer with Birmingham Tree People, one of the UK's leading urban forestry organisations. In this talk Katy will share her experiences of planting and caring for trees with communities in Birmingham
